Shackleton's Real Estate & Auction Co. will be selling rare and important Historical documents of National Significance by Auction at our location in Stratford, ON. Included are letters of correspondence between the Dominion Archives of Canada and noted individuals including Canada's First Prime Minister Sir John A. MacDonald, noted Railway Construction Engineer and Scientist Sir Sandford Fleming, Indigenous Poet Pauline Johnson, American Poet and Writer Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., future 26th President of the United States Theodore Roosevelt, and noted American Author Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). Most of these documents are directed and forwarded to the attention of Douglas Brymner - Canada's First Dominion Archivist in Ottawa. These letters have been received by the Descendants of Douglas Brymner.

Other highlights of this sale include oil paintings, water colours, sketches and prints from known Artists William Brymner, Robert Gagen, Mary Bell Eastlake, C.M.
