FOLK ART, POTTERY, TEXTILES AND COUNTRY FURNISHINGS

Welcome to our next Visbids auction!

Our folk art includes works by Mose Tolliver, Clarence Webster, James Baker, Gilbert Desroches, Jacob Roth, plus many other listed and anonymous folk artists from the Maritimes, Ontario and Quebec.

We continue to source some excellent Indigenous work including Mohawk pottery, Stan Hill carving, Indigenous folk art frames and basketry.

There is an exciting array of decorated stoneware and redware pottery by Goold, Schuler, Morton, Gray and Betts, Dion, Hart & Lazier, Welding and some early New York pieces.

For the textile collector we have pieced and appliqued quilts, coverlets, crochet work and two exceptional pre-Confederation samplers from Simcoe and Hastings Counties.

Our sale also features painted country furniture from Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes as well as a large collection of beautifully refinished furniture from Southwestern Ontario.

Included is an array of original Canadian and European paintings and early religious sculptures to round out our sale.
