URGENT DATE CORRECTION Our offer of FREE DOMAIN HOSTING as a feature of our SERVICE PACKAGE for sale-submitting auctioneers will not be available from THE AUCTION ADVERTISER until January 1, 2008. We previously announced this as being available November 1, 2007. This is a result of careless reading of a large number of documents on my part. On careful re-reading, the availability date of this service was clearly indicated for my attention. I regret this error and apologize for any confusion it may have created. WHY BOTHER WITH A PRIVATE DOMAIN? 1. It portrays you as a professional! And this reason on its' own merit is really the only one you need! 2. It's a simple and effective way to promote your business. Put your domain on your auction signage, bid cards, side of your truck, print ads and people will see it and know how to find you whenever they want 24-7! 3. You will not have to change your email address or your web address in the future, even if you move to a different city, leave the province, or change to a new hosting company. Your Domain is your property and you can have it hosted wherever you choose and move it to another host whenever you want.

4. Some of the print media sources you use to promote your sales refuse to include any web addresses that are not your own personal property. They see any alternate address as that of their competition. 5. You can reduce your exposure in the more expensive print media by directing readers to your web site to find more detailed info including photos, absentee bid forms, consignment forms and whatever else you choose to make part of your internet promotion. BY THE WAY The actual registering of your Domain is something we do annually for auctioneers. While the process is not difficult, it is something we are familiar with and can execute on your behalf easily - literally in seconds. If you have any questions about registering your own Private Domain, please don't hesitate to contact us. There are a few rules about the choice of names, and of course if someone has already registered a name you would like, it would not be available to you. A final thought on this - we can register the Domain now and PARK it for you. This means you take ownership now but in its' PARKed state it is not active. Equally, we can unPARK it at any time at your direction. PARKing and unPARKing are FREE services.
