Work Experience
Doug worked in the field of education for 32 years, both as an educator specializing in Music and Drama and, for several years, as Union President of Niagara South O.P.S.T.F. until his early retirement in 1998. For over 37 years he has worked as well as an auctioneer, antique dealer and appraiser. He has specialized in household estates, real estate, (both commercial and residential), fine automobiles and jewellery. He was a director to The Ontario Auctioneers Association for three terms, Director for the board of the Ft. Erie Chamber of Commerce for three terms. Doug is Owner and President of Niagara Auctions Inc. & Bruce Peninsula Auctions Inc., President & Co-Chair Canadian Auction and Appraisal School. He is also a member of The National Auctioneers Association of America and the Auctioneers Association of Canada.
